There is plenty of online material. Most
interesting are those little applets and animations. Let me know if you
have found any that is interesting. I begin with a few.

1. Simulations of Nonlinear oscillator chains, standard maps, billiards: at dynamical-systems.org 2. An hypertextbook on chaos at a beginning level is here. There seems to be plenty of software for Mac OS from this site. 3. THE webbook on chaos, written by Pregrag Cvitanoic and the usual gang of cyclists. Specialized, and advanced, will be useful for this course only in parts. But for a serious student of dynamics a must look. Quite funny. 4. My own lecture notes on Hamiltonian chaos for the ISI school on nonlinear dynamics (Dec. 2003). Will be useful in parts during the latter half of the semester. The notes are in flux and not fully corrected, I would suggest browsing and if needed selective printing. |
