Program Overview
Open to students with a strong master’s level background in Physics. Exceptional students with a B.Tech/BE degree are also eligible. During the first year, students complete mandatory courses and must clear a comprehensive examination.
Selection Process
Admission is through a written test and interview conducted by the department. Applicants must have qualified in at least one of GATE/JEST/NET. When vacancies are limited, a list of faculty with open positions is shared with selected students. On joining, students choose guides from this list.
