The ONLINE WRITTEN TEST was scheduled initially for 22nd April 2023 at 10:00 AM for the Ph.D. Admission to July-November 2023 session is postponed to Monday, 24th April 2023, at 05:00 PM due to administrative reasons. The revised call letter has been sent to your registered email ID. |

Criteria for initial shortlisting for July-Nov 2023 |
1. Valid GATE score (issued either in 2021 or 2022 or 2023) as per the category.
2. Valid NET (CSIR-JRF/ UGC–JRF only)
3. Valid JEST (Qualified in 2023 only)
4. Valid provisional offer letter issued by DST for the award of INSPIRE fellowship for PhD programme
5. CFTI candidates who have completed M.Sc., integrated M.Sc., Dual degree B.S - M.S., B. Tech., with CGPA 8.0 and above.
6. M.Tech. from CFTIs with CGPA 8.0 and above.
7. M.Sc. from IIT Madras with CGPA 8.0 and above.

Important Dates |
Note that the written test will be held online on Saturday, April 22, 2023. The interviews will be held online during Friday-Sunday, April 28-30,2023. |
Selection Procedure |
The selection process will start soon after the deadline and it will involve three stages. First, the applicants will be shortlisted based on their performance in GATE/JEST/NET or on their CGPA (if graduated through CFTI). The shortlisted applicants will be required to take a written test, which will be conducted ONLINE. Based on the performance in the written test, the students will be further shortlisted for attending the ONLINE interviews. The final selection of the students will be based on their performance in the written test and interview. |
