This is the part of High-energy-phenomenology seminar

This talk will be about the presence of different length scales (or equivalently energy scales) in nature, associated phenomena at each scale, and the importance of Effective Field Theory (EFT) techniques to handle the physics at the different scales. I will discuss how the renormalization group running methods can be used to connect the phenomena at the electroweak scale (~100GeV) or below to the new physics scale that is likely to be of the order of multi-TeV, as indicated by the recent Large Hadron Collider (LHC) results.
