Dr. V.R.K. Murthy is currently Professor in the Department of Physics with wide background on
development and characterization of microwave dielectric materials such as ferrites, ferroelectrics,
dielectric resonators, composite materials, copper clad PTFE, binary polar mixtures and graphite
intercalation compounds. He has developed microwave characterization techniques especially on the above
class of materials for device specifications. He has also developed microwave devices such as miniaturized
integrated circuitry (MICs) on filters and oscillators. These devices are developed based on stripline
technology. He also served the department as head and involved corporate activities of institute. Currently
he focuses his research interests on microwave sintering of bulk and nano materials, LTCC materials for
3-dimensional microwave integrated circuitry.

He developed measurements laboratory at Airtron Division of Litton Industries-USA that include the electrical,
magnetic and optical measurements on garnet films useful in memory devices. |
