One of the elements needed to understand the observed matter-antimatter asymmetry of the universe is violation of time reversal (T). T violation can arise in the Standard Model of particle physics through operators of dimension four or higher, and give rise to electric dipole moments of the neutron and light nuclei. I will argue that potential measurements of these EDMs could pinpoint the mechanism(s) of T violation involving quarks and gluons.
