  • Krishna Rajagopal, Dept of Physics, MIT.

Krishna Rajagopal received his PhD from Princeton University in 1993 and then spent 3 years at Harvard as Junior Fellow. After a brief stint at Caltech, he joined MIT in 1997. He has co-discovered color superconductivity in cold dense quark matter. He has also analyzed the critical point in QCD phase diagram and its experimental signature in collider experiments. He has made significant contributions in the theory of quark gluon plasma and has been one of the pioneers in applying AdS/CFT correspondence of string theory to this field.
